An occasional missive to the members of the Mission Bay Women’s Golf Club
BIRTHDAY GREETINGS : July birthdays include: Tammy Baiz, Paula Bogotay, Bev Laursen, Virginia Ripoll, Linda
Trost, and Barbara Williams. May your drives be long, straight and you score no worse than par.
NEW THIS YEAR: CHIP – IN s are valuable , and all members are eligible. If you are not in putts for the game, please write
CI for the hole where you scored the chip – in. If you are in putts, please put a zero for putts. At the end of the year, you
will receive monetary reward for the chip – in. PIGGIES are for everyone. Guest, new member without a handicap, long
time member — it matters not. Put in your quarters to be eligible for low putts, and closest to the pin front/back. Hole –
in – One is for any one who pays her $5. A guest or a new member who scores an Ace, so long as she pays her $5 prior to
start of the round, is eligible for the HIO pot.
DUES ARE DUE: If you have not paid your dues for the fiscal year, July1 – June 30, please do so no later than July 31,
2026. The dues are $65. If you wish to be included in Ringer, please add $12 for a total of $77 . There are a couple of
ways to pay your dues:

REVIEW THE RULES RE PENALTIES: MBWGC rules re penalties might be different from the USGA or Local rules, please
review the rules that are listed in our membership book. If you do not have a book, please review the rules on our
webpage. One easy way to remember: One length or two? If yo u are assessed a penalty, you get 2 club lengths relief; if
there is no penalty assessed, you get 1 club length relief. All relief is no closer to the pin.
WECOME NEW MEMBERS : We have had an influx of new members in the past few months. Please make an effort to
welcome them to our group.
